100m oilfield tower in Yemen

Project Brief:

Design, Fabrication, Installation and Painting of a 100m heavy duty telecommunication tower in a Yemeni oilfield for Total Fina.

The project required careful planning to avoid ongoing unrest in the country while being able to execute the tower erection works in a single mobilisation.

Challenges included heavy lifting equipment limitations requiring the tower top to be constructed by winch and derrick.
